It's 2023 and I have the same problem. 2013 320i (F30). Front passenger door unlocks by the inside double pull of the handle. It does not unlock by the key fob or central locking button. That same door locks by manually pushing on the door button. It does not lock by the key fob or central locking.

Calling the pistons weak isn't really accurate. They survive up to 600whp on the B58, so should survive to at least 400whp on a B48. I think the reason pistons are being called out is because the most common failure is the ringland at these higher power level instead of a bent rod. Appreciate 1.
