2017 F-Pace 35t Extended Warranty. New to the community but excited for my 2017 F-Pace 35t R-Sport (62k odometer) delivery upcoming! I wanted to ask the community a couple questions. Obviously with the 2017 being the first year they came out with the F-Pace there are worries about the reliability of the motor.

So I’ve made up my mind on purchasing the 2021 Jaguar F Pace SVR after considering all the other sporty SUV options. This will be my first time purchasing a big sticker vehicle new from the dealership. All the other vehicles Ive purchased off the lot I’ve been able to negotiate the sticker price down by at least a few thousand.

Corvettes, 911s, M-series cars, Mustangs, etc all also have decades of name recognition and fanbases. The F-Type has been around for 9 years currently and tried to bank on the E-Type which has been missing since the 70s. That was quite a gap to try and make up in the first place.
Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) hasn't had any significant advertisement campaigns for the I-Pace in the USA since 2019. They also didn't sell it in the USA in MY2021 which didn't help with visibility. The I-Pace is an EV orphan in the JLR lineup and wasn't really ever part of a cohesive EV strategy. The newer Jaguars (F pace, XE, newer XF's) have gone up in quality a lot. The old saying of running away from anything that's Jaguar really doesnt hold today. They do seem to be more a 'hit and miss' type of buy with more vehicles having disproportionate problems in relation to their age/mileage (think of gearboxes failing, turbo's failing qUh1kkj.
