PS5 has some neat features, and the controller is really nice, but it feels much, much closer to the PS4 than the PS2 felt to the PS1, or the PS3 felt to the PS2. Its not helped by how much more complex games are, and how they target wider ranges of hardware than before, either. 13. kleinepoepjes β’ 1 yr. ago.
Despite the hardware limitations compared to PlayStation 3, PS Vita manages to accomplish some highly impressive conversions while drawing just a fraction of power compared to PS3 or Xbox 360
The PS4 has more ALUs and higher memory bandwidth to "all memory." I wholeheartedly disagree that "it's just as likely as the PS4 being WAY better power wise." I think the reality is going to be something like the PS4 is 20-30% more powerful on the GPU side, the Xbox One is a bit more powerful/efficient on the CPU side.
In the Pic: No in reality: yes a huge. Even ps4 vs ps5 is a big difference. Ps5 has a shorter loading time compared to ps4 pro and ps4 has a way longer loading time compared to ps4 pro and ps5. But the graphics on both ps4 pro and ps5 for both games seem identical.
An analyst claims cites unnamed developers to the effect that the Wii U is 50 percent more powerful than the Playstation 3βto which Ars responds, "boy, we sure hope so." Read the whole story
The PlayStation has always had more and better exclusives than the Xbox, and that applies to this generation as well. It is also a major reason why the PlayStation 4 sold so much better than the Xbox One. On top of that, there is also another important aspect to consider: VR. The PS4 Pro has VR support, as does every other PS4 version for that
PS3 was certainly a failure in terms of technology and performance. I don't know if it was *technically* more powerful or not. What I know is that games on Xbox 360 definitely performed better overrall. Also, the numerous reports that developing for PS3 was nightmarish must account to something. Backwards (or forwards) compatibility is another
on ps3 you have 8rops@550MHz ->4.4GPixel/s fillrate -> 70GB/s requirement if you could do it the same way the ps2 did, sadly you only have 20GB/s, so you cannot keep up with the ps2. on ps4 you have 32rops@800MHz ->25.6GPixel/s fillrate if you go for hdr/64bit targets, you'd actually need 512GB/s peak. another point:
How much does a PS4 weight lbs? So, how much does a PS4 weigh? The original PlayStation 4 weighed in at 6.17 pounds (2.8 kgs). A slimmer version of the PS4 called the PS4 Slim weighs 4.62 pounds (2.1 kg). The PlayStation Pro, released in November 2016, weighs around 7.27 pounds (3.3 kg). How heavy is a video game?
